HOW TO PICK A PEACH
For yellow peach varieties, look for fruit with a golden undertone that is slightly soft to the touch.
There is no need to squeeze them hard!
For white peaches, the undertone should be a creamy yellow.
Nectarines should be a deep, dark red/orange. The more red, the sweeter and softer it is likely to be.
Firm fruit that has the proper color will ripen in a few days at room temperature.
Do not pick green fruit!
It won't ripen satisfactorily.

* Sentry peaches are semi-cling peaches, meaning the fruit's center remains partially attached to the pit.
All other varieties available at Eastmont Orchards are freestone; the fruit separates entirely from the pit.
We grow 14 varieties of yellow & white peaches and nectarines, which ripen during an eight week period between mid-July and mid-September.
Our largest volume is in August.
The dates above are approximate and vary with the seasons.
